ABOUT ME
Allyson is 2021 graduate of Temple University's Boyer College of Music & Dance, where she earned a Bachelor's of Music in Flute Performance and Music Theory. She is currently working towards her Master's of Music in Music Theory degree at Temple University, where she works as a Teaching Assistant for undergraduate music theory courses. In 2022, Allyson was awarded the Dr. B. Stimson Carrow Tribute Award, recognizing her work as a pedagogue.

Allyson has performed with numerous ensembles, including: The Temple University Symphony Orchestra, Temple University Wind Symphony, Temple University New Music Ensemble, as well as with numerous chamber ensembles. She also frequently performs in the flute group, Philly Phlute Duo, which was named as a finalist in Temple University's annual Concerto Competition in 2019.

In her extensive Music Theory studies, Allyson has conducted research on various topics. Her paper, "Slow Burns and Performance Practice: A Not-So Rapid Analysis of Jennifer Higdon's rapid.fire" was selected to be read at Temple University's 2021 Symposium for Undergraduate Research. As a composer, Allyson's works often venture into atonality. Her original composition, echoes for flute and bassoon, was performed at Temple University's Wind Symphony concert on November 13th, 2020.
TEACHING
Allyson offers half-hour or hour lessons for flutists of all ages! In these lessons, the student will learn/improve their flute abilities and develop a love of the instrument.

Do you have an existing chamber ensemble that is need of a coach? Allyson has notable experience in leading chamber rehearsals and offers her services as an ensemble coach.
